The process changed slightly this year so that you didn't need a "seconder" to apply as you have done in previous years (and thanks to your good self for providing that backing for me)

I was 50/50 about re-applying, for reasons that I won't go into here, but I decided very late in the day that I still strongly believe in the aims of the FAB and still feel that I have lots to offer at a crucial time for the FAB to form bonds with the new leadership team at EFC - so I threw my hat in the ring again, but unfortunately I wasn't shortlisted, so my FAB tenure of 2 seasons will come to an end after our last monthly meeting of the year next week.

I'm currently spending my weekend trying to crowbar in as many of my planned improvements as I can and propose a few others for the next FAB to consider, producing some content for our social media to encorage people to vote (which I can now do as I'm not part of the election process any more) before putting together as much of a "handover" as I can before I head off into the sunset.

Many thanks to all those who have supported me and my efforts during my FAB tenure. It's a lot more work that I thought it would be, and I applaud anyone who does it, but I have (mostly! ) enjoyed it. I would encourage all eligible Evertonians (anyone with a Supporter Number) to look at the biographies of the 8 shortlisted candidates, cast your votes accordingly , and to support the FAB in what they are trying to do.

I'll walk away from it all with my head held high and go back to being a fan again, looking forward to our new stadium and hopefully a much brighter future for our club 💙
