But the lack of anything approaching gender balance in the shortlist (8-0…seriously…?!) suggests those responsible for creating it might need a little emergency coaching.
The FAB needs to be a voice for supporters that is not mono-focused on the men’s first team and represents all segments of our fanbase. The women’s teams, the academy, EiTC, the supporters’ clubs etc. are all hugely important in how we portray ourselves as a club to build a stronger brand locally, nationally and internationally now and in the future.
I struggled to find two candidates saying anything much that resonated with me tbh.
It also made me wonder if there should be something like a Young Fan’s Forum created to operate under the wing of the existing Fan’s Forum to ensure the future of our fanbase is more included and gets a chance to bring forward ideas that might be obvious to teens/early 20s fans but not even on the radar for the middle aged and upwards who largely fill FAB and FF.
