Not that it’s not an incremental gain there for the taking. If you develop a state-of-the-art medical team that can keep players on the pitch all season, you don’t need tons of money to compete. Previous Message
The premise that every player must have a significant sell on value is a typical mindset of a feeder club.
OTOH 1: we can hardly feed ourselves, so it's quite understandable.
OTOH 2: many players stay very fit until their mid-thirties (and some even older) nowadays. Previous Message
Not everyone we sign has to have a sell on value.
My preference would be to sign young talented players with high ceilings and high sell on values, that can grow and develop with the team. But it's unlikely that every signing we make will fit that criteria
I'd be hugely surprised if Moyes doesn't add some "experience" this summer.

If he doesn’t get it then he’ll just push for a loan or move elsewhere when the time is right. He’s young, he’ll always get offers.
He’s secured his big cash bag irrespective. Previous Message
apparently Chelsea are also in for Hugo Ekitike.
That first team footy he wanted to get into the world cup squad might not be as regular as he thought it might be.
