Who basically said they'd more or less controlled the Giro up until them and didn't think they'd done much wrong; only to then add that perhaps they should have had someone in the breakaway. No shit!
Apparently, they we're worried that Del Toro might be too exposed if there was an attack and he didn't have enough helpers. It seems they thought the only danger was Carapaz and completely underestimated Simon Yates. Also knowing it was no-one less than Wout van Aert up front should have had alarm bells ringing loudly in both UAE and EF camps.
