genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever worked with and really hoped the new regime would keep him in role. As it is seems they wanted a new broom in all areas. Previous Message
Hannah Forshaw has been appointed CEO of Everton Women and will take up her new position for the 2025/26 Barclays WSL season.
Currently the Chief Operating Officer of The Jockey Club, Forshaw is a Chartered Accountant with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Liverpool Business School and brings a wealth of experience from a range of senior roles across sport.
Formerly COO of Liverpool women, hence this:
Lots of focus on player deals but Kinnear obviously played a role in her recruitment. Seems to be LOTS of activity taking place behind the scenes, across the club, but diligent and professional.
On the one hand, that might appear to be a lack of ambition. Maybe it would be more exciting if our new Women's CEO came from a major US franchise, or was poached from a top European team. Maybe it's a little underwhelming that she has an MBA from Liverpool Business School.
But, this is also evidence that local roots seem an important criteria in much of our work (e.g. Hill Dickinson). Once again it feels like TFG are making a bet on Liverpool as a whole, and we are recruiting based on existing knowledge of the city and being a good cultural fit.
Let's hope to see her stood next to more trophies soon.
