If Tarkowski was fit, I'd be keeping O'Brien there. He has excelled for us to date and his extra height is definitely a help. Previous Message
New owners, new stadium and new staff running the show.
I see NO benefit in talking about previous players or managers (I dont care what we did in the past, its long gone). We need to focus on the here and now, be mercyless with the deadwood* and bring in players that will see us top seven.
We have Pickford, Branthwaithe, O'Brien, Gana, Ndiaye, Alcaraz (hopefully), McNeill as a good starting base. Add in a good striker, a box to box midfielder with an attacking right full back and theres no reason we cannot aim high. Forget talking down our expectations, demand more and stop being plucky little Everton. I have no doubt that our new owners will not sit on their hands if we are no making progress. Moyes has to deliver and he will be given all the support possible, but the days of managed decline and knifes to a gunfight are long gone.
Everton expects..... and why not? COYBs go for it.
*Keane/Harrison etc did well for a few games, but would a top six club would want them, even as a bench warmer? No.
