I think the bottom line with Alcaraz is that he's a young, talented player with a high ceiling of potential. Critically, he's also a player that's, to an extent, already proven he has what it takes in this division, and seems adapatable to diffeent positions (though clearly at his best travelling with the ball centrally).

Regardless of whether Moyes wants Soucek in or not, at the price mooted for Alcaraz, he'd be a great bit of business for the squad as a whole.

Everyone should be thinking beyond just a first XI.

But i don't think we'll sort it out soon. I wonder if Moyes is trying to decide whether to spend that £12 million on Alcaraz or Soucek.

If Alcaraz had been a Moyes signing, it would've been done by now.

I think if Doucoure had accepted the contract we offered him, Alcaraz would be gone. And Moyes would be all in on Soucek.
