Alcaraz is one of five players on loan at the club, with Everton now confirming the other four will return to their parent sides once their deals expire at the end of the month.

That means Jack Harrison will return to Leeds United, Jesper Lindstrom to Napoli, Armando Broja to Chelsea and Orel Mangala to Lyon. Everton had options to make the Lindstrom and Broja deals permanent but do not appear willing to trigger those clauses. Broja, Mangala and Lindstrom all suffered serious injuries at various points in the campaign, with Mangala facing a season-ending knee injury at Brighton and Hove Albion in January.
