Alcaraz signs
One of Lindstrom or Mangala returns on loan if fit
One significant attacking signing (unlikely to be Delap)
One of Moyes guys signs (Soucek seems favourite)
We add a peripheral player on affordable wages from a top 6 team and one from the championship
3-4 other frees and loans
Armstrong integrated into the squad, Chermiti loaned out
Largely a transitional window with only limited expenditure. Previous Message
...and other comments from elsewhere, the club aren't expecting to be able to put together the squad they would like this summer, it would more likely take at least 2 summer transfer windows given the number that are out of contract, so some of the players that might well be seeing the exit under "normal circumstances" might well end up staying (for now) due to all the usual factors (money, availability of replacements, square pegs in square holes etc.) with maybe some loanees returning, or some of Moyes' old reliables joining us.
It's not ideal, but it's a rare chance for something of a clean slate, and I'm not even bothering to speculate on who might stay/go/join us - I'm just happy to let Moyes and the club get on with improving the squad as best they can with the situation we're in (which only they are fully aware of)
That starts tomorrow when I expect we'll find out the answer to this question for at least some of the squad, if not all.
