Benitez, Lampard and Dyche all got sacked because results waned comparatively to their beginning when a manager bounce is in full effect (Lampard the exception as he was just last all the way through pretty much).
Look at Benitez’s first 10 games for example. We were flying.
The test starts now for Moyes. I keep seeing people say he’s been in for 19 games therefore if you double what he’s got then that’s what we’d end up with (circa 60 points).
The team that kicks off next year could essentially be a completely new team by and large (except for the back four).
The Summer is a mammoth task bringing in so many new faces and expecting them all to gel straight away.
Here’s hoping… Previous Message
It isn’t brilliant, but it’s a step in the right direction from the 15 goals in 19 games under Dyche, and hopefully with a bit more quality that’ll improve. Previous Message
We are the 4th lowest scorers in the league.
Last season we were 2nd lowest and also got 48 points.
Our luck of getting a huge bang for our buck goals wise will run out soon if we do t properly address it.
We’ve lost Doucoure and question marks over Gana Gueye. I really hope he stays. Both really key to us being solid which is what we’re based on considering we are blunt at the top end. We’ve lost Young’s experience too.
Huge task this Summer for Moyes and I am concerned about the amount of players we potentially need to bring in. It will be like a brand new team almost. They’ll need to hit the ground running as well as the rest of the team in our new home which will take some time to settle into.
I guess we have to see what funds are available but I trust Moyes will know what level of players he needs to ensure we’re comfortable.
Not a negative post just a realistic one. The PL is tough and full of well run teams now, most of them with decent amounts of cash/players they can cash in on to fund their next wave of recruitment.
I’m hoping TFG surprise me and really give Moyes a good level of backing. We’ve survived on pennies relative to most clubs these last few years.
Fingers crossed we get what we need to have a decent season.
