it's been going on for about 80 years and is now unapologetic genocide from an Israel government who simply dismiss critics' of their indiscriminate slaughter as antisemites.

They regarded the Hamas massacre as a gift, giving them the justification to wipe Palestine off the map. And I know there is antisemitism on the other side, increased a thousand fold every time they indiscriminately wipe out another village. Pretty difficult to stay rational when your family are being systematically murdered, I would imagine. They want hatred, they want violence, they want to be able to present some kind of case for the mass butchering of Palestinians.

They want people to stay out of it, keep quiet and at best make noises about how "it's complicated, fault on both sides" as Netanyahu and his goons commit atrocities that are every bit as bad as Hitler's actions in WW2. So they will put a lot of effort into smearing their critics, poring over their every social media post in an effort to discredit and shame them. And it works.
