I just don't think he's done anywhere near enough over the past 3 seasons to justify keeping him on. A striker that doesn't score goals is of limited use, no matter how good he may be at holding the ball up and running the channels. A new contract would be based on little more than hope that he undergoes a renaissance in both form and fitness. I think that's unlikely. Am not fully convinced he was giving his all at times this season either, one eye on the exit door, but I think many potential options have disappeared and he'll now be looking for a new deal.

I think it's best for all concerned if he moves on - if he does stay then fine, just don't see any real future for him at EFC.
