Even though it was relatively cheap to get into goodison, lots of my mates had to pick and choose which matches they could afford to go to Previous Message
...but as time goes on, as the PL gains in popularity or whatever, the averages gradually head towards the capacity.
In the 80s even in the seasons we were winning the league, we could still get 25-26,000 for quite a few games, but then also 40, 44, 48,000 etc for others. Previous Message

We have a few in the 51-52,000 range in the league during the 80s, but that's the only one so far I've found exceeding BMD's capacity.
There may well be some others though! Previous Message
I'm sure this has been asked before, so apologies for asking again, but what was the last match at GP where we equalled or bettered the capacity at the new stadium? I'm guessing it was sometime in the late 80's? What game, though? Thanks, as always.
