1) I queued at the bar in the fanzone. Got to the front and the sheer number of people around meant they weren't getting signal on the card machines. I didn't have cash on me so the server took back the two drinks I'd ordered and said I couldn't have them as they couldn't take my card. The fella next to me said "I've got some cash. Ill buy them for you mate." Never met him before, will never meet him again. I will pay it forward for sure.
2) I let the barmaid in the Denbigh know the fella next to me at the bar should be served before me as he'd be waiting longer. He offered to buy my drink (I thanked him and declined as I was buying a round). On reflection there was my opportunity to pay it forward but I was probably a bit too 'well refreshed'to spot the opportunity at the time.
3) I met a blue in the bus queue who went to the same tiny Norfolk village primary school as me. Never met him before, we just got talking in the bus queue.
4) I bumped into PaulSan who ive only met once before, over 10 years ago in Wolfsburg.
There are some scumbags about. But everyone i met yesterday was beyond decent.

... When I got to my seat someone had made off with my scarf. Likewise, my son gave his to a lad who'd had his nicked. To be fair I didn't particularly want it but pretty sneaky thing to do I thought.
Anyway, minor thing on a lovely, lovely, final day in the sunshine after a half century or so for me, three decades plus for my son and daughter and about a decade each for my grandchildren.
