I got it fairly late, and I'd never played the first one. You can definitely get exposed if you over-stretch on exploration, but they've added so much more story and DLC now, if you like base-building etc I think it's superb.
I've just started playing the first one on my Steam Deck (it was two quid!), and it's mad recognising locations.

Wasnt as big a fan of the 2nd, but that was partly because I got it early and didnt like the gas running out on cars so quickly. Is it worth going back to the 2nd ? Previous Message
I think, having had last few iterations of Xbox, I'd done a lot of Game Pass titles so was ready for a break. (Although I'll be right back when State of Decay 3 finally turns up)
For GTA 6, I'd think the PS5 Pro would be more optimal for it to run on?

Im getting a little jealous of reading of some of these new games, and realising my Xbox One X no longer runs them.
I want to be ready (dont laugh) for GTA VI to be released
FWIW the games I spend longest playing are RDR2, FallOut, previous GTA games.
I've also always been xBox since the first console, so it would need a compelling reason to jump ship
