no matter how wrong you are
I love Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Dark Souls etc
but they are absolutely not for everyone
I find them far far easier than a lot of 3D platform games for example. It just is what it is. I appreciate why folk dont like them, I hated Dark Souls first time round, and it was only after bloodborne that it clicked.
I would say the battle mechanics and parry and dodge are tough (tougher than I find soulslikes; for a specific reason but no one wants a col essay on that)
Fortunately there are 3 difficulties, and I doubt you lose anything dropping to the base one.
Who cares what difficulty you see a game through in. So I'd whack it on story mode difficulty and go from there, you can always bump it if you want.
I am quite amazed at the universal love its getting (because that just doesnt happen much these days) but fuck me its polished as hell.
Honestly, grab a brew, headphones, give yourself an hour or so, and you'll be dancing round the room in a beret humming the theme tune

Which is why I haven't tried CO yet, but I probably will have to, everyone can't be wrong about it the way they were about Elden Ring, surely... Previous Message
but I'm blown away by expedition 33
the music, the atmosphere, the story, its a cut above
IF you do try it, set aside an hour for the intro section, its a bit slow paced to begin with as it builds the story and world
but christ its good
and the music is remarkable
