Legacy? What about a stadium that remains and can meet even surpass the previous plans. While keeping one of the world’s most iconic stadiums.
I think we have become so insecure with our beloved club and how it is run that we will all have doubts until proven otherwise.
Let’s hope TFG keep Goodison fit for purpose and give us as Evertonians and the local community the legacy that it deserves.
I’d rather see a thriving local community, and I think it’s got a better chance with Goodison remaining than not. As I’m sure you would.
Time will tell.
Respect, peace, out.

We all have the same objective, we can duel with each other and that's healthy. The club has always been first in all our sporting lives. But, and this is a passion of mine, you can't just walk away from the social environment that made your life experiences without making sure they will be ok. I'm disappointed that the original proposals are no longer taking place, I hope that a legacy will still exist for the community and the area isn't left to try to recover without assistance. ...I'm trying to give TFG the benefit of the doubt... you might be right, but I hope you're wrong! Previous Message
Ok...fair comment.
I take no pleasure in my cynical perspective, but we shall see. Previous Message
...then when TFG came in, they reappraised things and have made the decision that this is a more appropriate way forwards and makes more commercial sense to them.
Lots of the community based stuff that was in the Goodison Legacy project will still be happening as part of this going forwards - it's not just about Everton Women, there's a lot about EitC too and more information will be coming out in due course.
From everything I've seen it's a long-term project to forge a connection between the past and the future and also hugely improve the profile of the Everton Women's team, and very little to do with nostalgia, so - as with all things TFG - let's given them a chance and see what happens. It's obviously a PSR decision, are you too thick to understand my point?
I'll elucidate - It's not what was promised!

Be able to see far into the future.
The problem is you are just spouting shite.
Are you too thick to realise that will be a PSR move. They are obviously not going to tell that until they have to.
So you would prefer Moshiri still be in charge and build a few houses and a ‘community centre’
Do you think Dave at the Winslow and other businesses in the area are pleased or disappointed with this - yeh thought so.
How do you know what other plans TFG have?
Chelsea sold hotels to themselves and then separately, the women’s team to themselves (£200 million).
Keep up now. FFS.

What a load of crap, it's a total shit show on the local community. The club don't want/can't afford/ can't be arsed with the original Goodison Legacy proposal that was discussed when the planning consultation for BM was applied, it was all just words to get the planning permission!
"And the club's current Goodison Park site is to be converted to high-quality, affordable housing, a health centre, retail and leisure spaces and a youth enterprise zone for the Walton community"
So now it'll become a relic of the past, quickly become a total shambles of its former self because of lack of investment, and in a year or two be sold off to a development company that doesn't give a toss about the local community and build no social infrastructure just as many apartments as possible.
But hey, you lot can slap yourselves on the back for now as the pretence of a useful future for your nostalgia helps with the wrench of leaving.
