I totally love this idea though. As a coach at my daughters football team it's a huge step in the women's game. Previous Message
...from a commercial point of view to not just dispose of an asset like Goodison that we actually own.
EiTC will have a big prescence there, the tours can continue, there are other heritage opportunities, and it's another "first" for Goodison as everyone else that has moved grounds has demolished their old ground - plus I believe we will be the first WSL team to have their own purpose-built stadium that they aren't sharing with something else - there are lots of positives, plus TFG have previous experience of building a women's team over at Roma.
I was sceptical at first, and I understand why some will be against it (and I'm unsure about the timing of announcing it now) but I think it's a good move. Previous Message
in fairness if they play this well and charge kids say a quid to get in you could get decent numbers and the next generation of female evertonians in one fell swoop!
great idea.
surely it would be used for high profile ladies cup games etc? Previous Message
