Will look at hotel 👍🏻 Previous Message
I watched a film years ago (and 100 times since) that actually made me want to see Tokyo. It’s called ‘lost in translation’ and I thought they got the whole feel of Shinjuku spot on.
In that film they were staying in the hotel Park Hyatt. Way above what I could afford, but looks a beautiful hotel. Previous Message
I was in Tokyo last year and stayed in Shinjuku. An absolutely wonderful place that never stopped. Floods and floods of people, and beautifully lit up at night. Then you go down an alleyway and you’ll see bars that hold just 6 people in a building that is 120 years old. I’d highly recommend.
I stayed in the hotel Gracery - hotel rooms in Tokyo are known for being tiny, but this place was big. It was a nice hotel, and it was clean. Again, I’d thoroughly recommend.
It is also near Shinjuku train station (which is a sea of people), has cracking views across the city and a big fuck off Godzilla hanging out the side of it.
What a city! You won’t be disappointed. Previous Message
Anyone been?
I’ve got flights booked (BA Airmiles👍🏻 ) for December & now getting round to booking hotels & sketching an itinerary.
I’m in & out of Tokyo so want to start there & finish in Kyoto over a 2 week stay.
Any suggestions which area of Tokyo to stay in & why please?
Have to confess I’m a bit overwhelmed on where to start x just taking pot luck….
Any hotel suggestions following on from that?
Anything off the beaten track we should consider?
losing just a little more faith every day, and credibility too apparently
