...on the Unholy Trinity Podcast - as we've seen previously with the likes of Straqualursi and Oumar Niasse if you apply yourself then you can still gain a cult following and get the fans behind you at Everton even if you're not the best footballer we've ever had.
Beto is a better player than both of those two and - I think - has clearly shown both his passion for the club, and a desire to improve his own game to benefit us.
As ever, I will happily the leave the decision on his future to Moyes and his team - but I think he's adding more and more reasons to keep hold of him every week.

But if we end up with Harrison and Doucoure level of “creativity” then he will instead be exposed.

A penny for DCL's thoughts, having declined the contract offer some time ago, and now perhaps wondering where he might end up next season.
I still think Beto's all round play is below what we ultimately need; the teams chasing the higher European places wouldn't have a Beto, but Rome wasn't build in a day etc, so I can definitely see him with us for a couple of years, at the very least putting competitive pressure on a first-choice replacement for DCL, or indeed making himself undroppable as well as unsellable.
