Didn't see that result (or second half performance) coming at all so I'm absolutely delighted - although VAR can absolutely get in the bin!! I don't think ANY team's goals are checked for some many potential issues as ours are, and even though it wouldn't have made much difference, I'm surprised and delighted that Darren England rightly told that them they were talking shite over the penalty at the end (although he needs a new watch! 7 minutes extra time was absolute bollocks - it should have been all over even before the penalty nonsense!)
In fairness to the ref's timekeeping, we had a (totally unnecessary) VAR check for Keane's goal, and Pickford required treatment which took some time. Add the usual delays for substitutions, goal celebrations etc and it doesn't seem too far out.
Responses
