plus 3 in other competitions. Left foot, right foot, headed goals. In a side that has struggled for most of the season and doesn't create that many chances. He's done far more than any other striker on our books. Far more. And yet the overwhelming consensus is that he's a donkey who is way out of his depth and that we should get rid ASAP.

I honestly can’t decide if he is evidence for how hard it is to sign a PL striker or how easy it is.

On the one hand, he’s very limited and we’d probably need to spend £30m+ to improve on him.

On the other, he’s very limited and yet he’s got to double figures.

Maybe we should just decide that he’s our main striker, lots of minutes, play to his strengths - keep the money for a new contract for Branthwaite.
