The links to Soucek and Kristiensen are alarming as neither are what we need but may be part of Moyes' players we have to sign?
Of utmost importance of course is a goal scoring 9 which will be difficult but absolutely the top target. It will likely mean sacrifices elsewhere and may depend on either retaining or selling Jarrad with Chelsea sniffing around in their early transfer window.
I am in the positive camp and trust that Moyes will bring in players that will improve us and get us up the table.
If he hadn't been appointed in January we would still be safe but playing turgid football and a new Manager required in June with no time to assess what is required. The last 3 months has been priceless for Moyes and bought some time to assess and prioritise. We should be grateful for that.
A new stadium, a new board, PSR under control, debt refinanced, new owners with real business acumen and new players incoming provide optimism.
We deserve positivity after all the dross.
Let's see what the next few months brings.
