they had a bucking bronco machine and lads from old and Buckley fighting all night.

I have been lucky enough to meet Mike on a couple of random occasions and have seen him live a few times, first time with the Alarm at Deeside Leisure Centre supporting the Jam in 1982, the last time at Buckley Tivoli last year. Mike could put in to words and song what it felt to grow up in North East Wales in the late 70's and 80's, one eye looking East over the Mersey, one eye looking West to N Wales, one of the good guys Previous Message
...I can't claim to have been a massive fan of the band until the last couple of years, but I have always kept tabs on him as someone local to me who has been fighting various forms of blood cancer for 30 years and doing an incredible amount of charity work alongside that.
A few years ago him and his wife bought a local pub and through that I've got to be on nodding terms with them both and their 2 sons and have become a lot more invested in his music, his charity and his fight. I've seen him perform live there a few times (photo below) and I saw in the New Year with them all at the pub, so I'm absolutely devastated by this news today
We've lost a really good man - RIP Mike Peters.
