Of course, we only ever know parts of the truth, based on what we see and read about, I’ll grant you. But there certainly feels like an unpleasant trend, which is why I think you saw so many people delighting in the draft slide, the last few days.

He’s gonna be a backup / project QB who already thinks he’s good enough for the NFL, so unlikely to be particularly coachable. Him and his dad were talking up refusing to go to certain teams that they didn’t think were good enough for him. That after his dad did everything he could to help him pad his stats (hence taking huge sacks instead of throwing the ball away, so as not to reduce his completion % numbers).
There’ll be a constant circus around him that will distract from the team (and God knows that’s the last thing the Browns need).
I don’t think the talent nearly makes up for the headaches but if there was one franchise that was going to take him it doesn’t surprise me that it was the Browns.

I know there have been claims about his attitude etc, but whether that is true or not, I felt sorry for the kid. I hope he goes on to have a great career and prove himself. Previous Message
