Undoubtedly a (truly) great athlete but he has a well-earned reputation for being arrogant, petty and self-absorbed, over the years. He’s been called out as a bully by several people. And then there’s his other son’s case against a school security guard (who he beat up so bad that he was ordered to pay $12m in damages, only to then claim bankruptcy). Shedeur’s reported sandbagging of pre-draft team interviews (a year after they said they might ‘pull an Eli’ (i.e. refuse to join a team they didn’t like)), was more fuel on the growing fire of bad looks.

Of course, we only ever know parts of the truth, based on what we see and read about, I’ll grant you. But there certainly feels like an unpleasant trend, which is why I think you saw so many people delighting in the draft slide, the last few days.
