- I couldn't believe it when me Dad turned up that evening and said come on, we're going the match. I had no idea he was taking us and couldn't believe my luck!
- it was a sunny afternoon and my brother had the pub gathered around when he got 3 holds on winning a hundred quid on the fruit machines. He never won but we still talk about it!
- the match was well under way by the time we got in.
- there was more than 1 person per seat in the Lower Bullens!
- As others have mentioned, the weird vacuum of noise when Bayern scored.
- Bizarrely I remember the attendance on the old scoreboard as 49,XXX. I'd seen 51K in derbies so couldn't work that out.
- The 3 goals were just crazy, especially the third. You couldn't hear the person sat next to you, and the ears were ringing for hours afterwards.
- Everyone singing "we're all going to Rotterdam" outside on Gladwys St after the game.
- Getting home and watching it on Midweek Sport Special
- Spending the next 40 years reliving these wonderful memories every time the game gets mentioned. Previous Message
I was, with my Dad. I was only a little kid but I will never forget the atmosphere that night - absolutely electric
