I think we benefitted from the new manager bounce and probably couldn't have hand picked a better set of home fixtures for that
However Dyche was not a fraud/dinosaur and Moyes is not the messiah and without any recruitment I'd expect this squad over the next year to average about 1.2 points a game
Moyes has definitely been helped by having a solid and generally fit back 5 to work with
The important part going forward is to ensure our recruitment is spot on something that Moyes was unbelievable at in his 1st spell
Pace and creativity please and someone who can take a corner and free kick Previous Message
that much difference? Previous Message
taking 8 points and that was a last minute winner
we got 7 points from our last 8 under Dyche playing virtually the same teams
We've basically drawn a lot of games which is always likely to happen as we don't concede many and average scoring a goal a game
Our 4 wins in 5 when he was appointed virtually sealed our safety - similar to the 3 wins in a week last season
Our results since then have been a bit samey in the last couple of months where goals have been difficult to come by Previous Message
mainly down to how poor the rest have been
I reckon we'd be about 8-10 points worse off
we'd won 1 away game in 12 months, so I doubt Brighton, Palace and Forest wins would all have happened, maybe 1 certainly not all 3. Not the way we were playing.
A few draws would have been defeats too
We had 1 win in 11 when he was sacked
Form is a greater measure of how things would have gone, than previous seasons results
