We did that 9 times out of 10 and even this season the 2 games against sides who were in the bottom 6 when we played them we won v Palace and Wolves
Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham and Man Utd were all in the bottom 6 when we played them at home - we also have Ipswich and Soton to play
We would also have picked up points with draws
Its funny how when we played Leicester away they were 15th and it was considered a poor point but when we played away at Wolves they were 17th yet that was considered a hard fought point !
For me Moyes may have improved the performances and our ability to create a few more chances but our home record hasn't really improved
Dyche P 9 W2 D4 L3 10 points
Moyes P 8 W2 D4 L2 10 points
the big difference has been turning what probably would have been bore draws at Brighton, Palace and Forest into wins
Our last 3 home games were West ham 1-1 last min equaliser yet we drew away, Arsenal 1-1 when we drew away and Man City 0-2 when we drew away and had a great chance to win in the last min
The home results have been treated a lot more favourably than those away ones all because of who is in the dugout
It was the right time for Dyche to go, he should have gone after the 4 nil at united and he'd given up but after the initial new manager bounce we've scored 5 goals in 6 games and have relied on our strong and organised defence
Until we replace the £200m worth of attacking players we've sold in the last 3 years we will always average a goal a game Previous Message
Personally I think he would have turned it around, but either way, the three teams at the bottom are playing so poorly. I think we would have been fine anyhow. What do others think?
