Ideally none would be getting more than a year's deal, but in reality you could see some of the ones we're more likely to want (or their agents) holding out for longer.
Would definitely want to keep Gueye for a year unless his demands were unrealistic.
Would ideally keep Doucoure as a squad member but the numbers may not add up for this for either party, sadly.
Young may get a few games and would be a useful backup but may not be worth it financially, given likely demands vs. playing time.
Would look to keep one of the keepers. Whoever was asking for less!
Calvert-Lewin may find he has few appealing offers. A year on suitable terms may suit both parties but we can't be seeing him as our main striker next season given his injury record, if nothing else. Surprisingly, I'd be less bothered about him leaving than I would have been a year ago.
Coleman's time is probably up, sadly, but I suspect he may jump the gun and retire anyway. Testimonial at BMD to kick off pre-season would be well-deserved, not sure the new owners would do that level of sentimentality though.
Holgate can shut the door on his way out. Don't know how he lost his way so badly after a promising start, but he'll struggle to find a club above lower half of the championship and league 1 looks more his level these days. Previous Message
Doucoure, Joao Virginia, Asmir Begovic, Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young, Mason Holgate, Idrissa Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the list I believe.
For me
Keep
Doucoure
Gueye
and Young as he can cover 5 positions (yikes)
the rest can go.
Over to the floor?
