![]() ![]() Gueye’s been our player of the season and Calvert-Lewin is still the best forward we have. I don’t see how we replace the latter for no cost, even allowing for the fact that we can’t rely on him to stay injury-free. But Beto and even Chermiti give decent enough support and another e.g. Broja loan should mean we’d have plenty of options. I’d rather spend whatever we have on adding quality on the right, as well as across central midfield and at the full back positions (upgrade Mykolenko / backup for O’Brien). That said, given the number that are coming to the end of their contracts, I think we probably need to keep a few I wouldn’t be worried about losing. Doucoure is someone I’d like to move on from but accept we’re not quite there yet; as a squad player…fine, I guess. Virginia doesn’t put any pressure on Pickford but he’s fine as a #2. Young…I dunno, I’m not convinced he has another year in his legs. Sadly, the same for Seamus, who is easily my favourite player of the last decade. Begovic and Holgate wouldn’t be missed. ![]() Doucoure, Joao Virginia, Asmir Begovic, Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young, Mason Holgate, Idrissa Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the list I believe. For me Keep Doucoure Gueye and Young as he can cover 5 positions (yikes) the rest can go. Over to the floor? |
