don't recall this level of scrutiny for Gerrard trying to take out Campbell, or trying to break Naysmith's leg with a two-footed lunge. Going back a bit, but there are plenty of other examples and it never works the other way - if their bad tackles are even picked up on, it's with a light-hearted chuckle about it being a competitive fixture and never spoken of again.
This is a clear example of media bias actually becoming dangerous, there is no way the tackle would have been pored over and condemned at such length had it not been a Liverpool player who was the victim, and you can multiply that by a large factor with it being a derby. Previous Message
