I know one or two people who post on here connect and interact with the club I just wondered if anyone can help me understand the situation
Put simply does the fact that we have moved up the waiting list roughly 3000 places indicate that Everton have increased the number of season ticket being sold at the new stadium compared to Goodison by roughly 3000 or am i missing something.
I understand that the number of corporate/executive/ lounge areas will have increased but were they offered to existing users/ existing season ticket holders / official members as priority or did I miss that. I accept that the majority of people in those groups could probably not afford it , including us and would say no - but at least they would have that opportunity
I believe currently at Goodison there are roughly 31,500 season ticket holders which when you take away the away supporters leaves around 5000 tickets sold per match day with official members having priority
If they have increased season tickets available by 3000 , assuming the same number of away fans - will this mean 15000 tickets per match available for matchday sales with official members having priority or again am I missing something?
I understand that they do not want to sell all seats as season tickets because not everyone can afford one and of course there has to be a cut off somewhere - which is completely fair - but I am more than a little concerned re the figures above and wonder about tickets finding their way to hotel packages etc. which to me does not sit well with the recent understandable club announcement around ticket touting policy
