But Harrison and Doucoure should and could be replaced for reasonable money. Both have great engines, but they can’t pass while running. So many times last night Harrison got himself into good positions, but messed up the final ball. You’d wish Alcaraz had the distribution in those situations.
But there’s no denying the commitment of Doucs and Harrison. Previous Message
Beto works for a style and I think Broja for another, I think Beto does really well when we soak it up and look for a long ball, not sure broja would have the same impact within that system.
We need a system change and that will only come with different players. Many of which we already have but are injured.
Harrison and Doucouré need to go. Not sure Garner gives enough in the system we want to play and Gana, good as he is, the same. If we want more expansive players the ones that aren't expansive need to be quicker and better on the ball OR the expansive ones we bring in need to be tougher and work harder to get back.
Looking at that game tonight, we set up completely to soak it up and break. Away at LFC thats a good tactic, I think. This isn't the game to judge the team by. But overall, If we had everyone fit I don't think it's as bad as it looks at times, a few changes here and there. If we had a striker that could really be relied on to hit the target that would make a great difference. Previous Message
I used to have Niasse vibes about Beto. Now I have Jelavic vibes. He's had his purple patch but now its time to give Broja a try. We owe it to ourselves to see what he can do.
