10 Weeks ago David Moyes returned to once again take the reigns at the club, something that met with quite a positive reaction from the fanbase with a score of 6.37 from 187 votes. At the time there was general but cautious optimism that the Scot would be able to keep the club up by the end of the season, but concern about where the necessary goals were going to come from. I guess we need not have worried!
A return of 13 points from 18 available in his first 6 matches has seen Everton move from being deep in the relegation mire, to calculating unrealistic but possible scenarios where we may qualify for Europe this season. The turnaround has been nothing short of remarkable in such a short space of time and the uplift in performances generally a pretty damning indictment of Dyche's performance this season.
While the purple patch thankfully all but ended Everton relegation worries before the end of February, the results have admittedly stagnated a bit again in recent weeks. While still difficult to beat (unbeaten in their last 9 league games), Everton are winless in their last 4 with only 1 win in 6. Has the new manager bounce gone flat? Are the fanbase starting to see cracks in Moyes already? .... nah! Let's be honest, at worst he's overperformed and things are now reverting to a more realistic level, but with the job done effectively done for the season and a major overhaul both on and off the pitch happening in the coming months, I can't see the reaction from the fans to be anything other than extremely positive? Carlo levels of support? I'm not so sure, but let's see ...
