We got tickets in Row 42 for yesterday, but decided to get our crampons out and trek up to our season ticket seats in Row 60 (4 rows from the back of the South Upper) where we watched the whole game from.
Very happy with the view (see below) as it's similar to my current viewing angle from the Park End, and the picture doesn't really give the impression of how close you feel - you feel like you're right on top of it (unlike the Etihad or Old Trafford where it's like watching a game of FIFA!). It's also just 7 rows and 12 seats over from my brother and nephew who got their seats over a month before us so I'm really pleased about that, having been at opposite ends of the stadium from them at Goodison!
We went down to the concourse after about 30 minutes but the food wasn't ready yet, so we went back in and did the full schlep right up to Row 60 - 94/95 steps up from concourse for an overweight 52 year old with a dodgy left knee - it left me a bit breathless but I did it in one hit and I was OK.
Most of the people I observed and that we spoke to were absolutely blown away by it and extremely positive (and disbelieving that it's ours!) - we got a few negatives regarding the transport/travel at the FAB Drop-In but several positive comments too, so it was a really good day overall - just wish I'd known Dan Meis was around so that we could have met up for a hello as I've only met him virtually before and would very much like to shake his hand and thank him - him and his team have absolutely nailed it in my opinion.
Just realised that I inadvertently also took a pic that shows the legroom off quite well (we were actually showing my brother where his STs are in relation to us! )
Disclaimer (sadly necessary it seems!) - my posts here on The People's Forum are my own thoughts and opinions as a fan, not those of the Fan Advisory Board. Thanks.
