Parking - my main worry too, I ended up using an app and finding someone giving up their driveway. It was still a brisk 25-30min walk but was fairly straight forward. Hopefully a few more locals jump on the apps to make a few quid from unused driveways Previous Message
Just back from the game.
A few remarks:
When the ground is full the interior concourse will be a battlefield- not a criticism just my o observation. It was difficult finding a place to stand and eat with 25,000 although wd will be more spread out.I can see outside catering being popular.
The stadium is awesome - what a feat of engineering and creativity. At long last you can see we are on the road to recovery.
The U21's didn't give me much hope of a new Rooney
although Isaac Price did well in parts and reminded me of Piennar (fingers crossed).
The acoustics are excellent. When Z Cars was playing it was brilliant.
Although mainly silent all game, shortly after the goal was scored the South Stand starting singing and the noise was palpable - a really good sign for a full stadium
My only downside (not a moan) is getting to and from the ground. I took an Uber to get there but walked home (one and a half hours). I failed to see anywhere at all to park and whilst not expecting to rock up next to BMD I did think I could find a street within 30 minutes. Perhaps I was spoiled at GP!
