Liverpool have 25000 season ticket holders in a 62k stadium
We will have 40k in a 53k stadium and will have less than 10000 tickets every match day Previous Message
the club has showed the fans what they think they should pay to watch the team..... if they don't like it, then don't go.
If enough fans stopped going, the price would soon come down..... but no chance as too many turkeys will vote for Christmas. I can recall my Dad moaning about the price of a pint going up many years ago, but it went up and he paid up ..... and its still going up today and still the moaners pay up.
I fully expect our new stadium will see old timers drop out of they ticket market as the prices rise year on year. The world wide tourist market is the target as we have seen at Spurs where the reduced their season ticket numbers in favour of the day trippers. Our new owners are already looking at Nelson Dock as potential expansion, no doubt including shops and a hotel or two... it will be all part of the match day package. Welcome to the new world order, money talks and loyalty is determined by what you spend.
