To be honest, having been in the South Lower for the first test event I think it already feels pretty snug at 1:1! Even an increase to 1.2 would feel pretty damned crowded in there, and when you're paying that much money for a season ticket, I'm really not sure that's what people want in reality...
Oh, and here's that expert opinion I mentioned... I can understand why people ask if we should have gone for a bigger capacity, but I'm with Dan - to me, it feels like the right size for us...

It will ensure the ground is full for most games, and as others have said, keep the tickets at a reasonable price for affordability and revenue. I’d hate to see swathes of empty seats for any league games in a couple of years time.
I know it’s been mentioned that safe standing could increase the capacity, but I think it’s currently 1 person per seat space. Not sure if this can change to 1.5 people per seat?

Just wondering, now it's finished and we'll be there soon enough, what are people's thoughts on the capacity?
Is 52,888 the right move
Should we have pushed for 55k or 60k or even higher.
This is not a moan.
I think the difference between 55k and 52k is small enough that it doesn't matter. But should we have gone for 60k?
Perhaps that extra push would have bankrupted us, or left us missing out on a player and we'd be heading into the new ground in the championship.
I suspect 52k will be fine, but I can't help but think in 10yrs time the club might be looking at how it can be extended a little.
