Here’s the thing. When you drive from Canada to US, the border crossing folks that police the border going INTO the US are US officials. And going back into Canada, you have Canada officials.

Strikes me that, if the problem is drugs / people being trafficked into the US (and it’s not, by the way, but we’ll come to that in a moment), it’s probably the job of the people checking the flow of traffic in the incoming direction who need to police it more effectively.

As for ‘why’ we’re hearing this nonsense about fentanyl streaming into the US from Canada, it’s entirely because your president can only unilaterally impose his tariffs by invoking emergency economic powers. Which means, this is something he wants to do but can’t without a good enough reason. He’s therefore decided that the great emergency is 43llbs of fentanyl crossing the border (that you’re supposed to patrol) in one year…because there’s fuck all else for him to pin it on.

There’s far more fentanyl coming into Canada from the US than going the other direction, btw. That’s our sieve of a border.

Canada and Mexico to start seriously policing their borders with the US both of which operate like a sieve. Mexican border states are dominated by the drug cartels which have the local and national police authorities largely in their pockets. Canada just doesn't seem to give a toss about a flow of illegals into the US from there.
The tariffs on China are related to manufacturing jobs and indeed are already working with major shifts of hi-tech manufacturing to Texas from China recently announced - 500Bn from Apple I believe

Trump and his administration of tards seem to think that just introducing or raising tariffs will magically make every businesses that exports to America or imports materials, will just magically set up their manufacturing plants in Murica or start paying more for their materials from american companies overnight. The reality is it could take a decade. By which time the US economy has collapsed and a brand new great depression hits the country.
