and 40 years since he was Governor. Not sure what Covid money has to do with a State running its own schools. As mentioned the Fed govt only funds 10% so the States have a lot of say so already but now without the DoE imposing a curriculum that may not be to the taste of the democratically-elected State government

Alabama spent 20% of covid relief money to build a prison. The last time this state was in charge of schooling they wanted white only schools.

Control of Education belongs with the states not some top-down woke bullshit bureaucracy more concerned with DEI than what kids are learning.
