Thanks for the post. I looked a few things filmed at Sandhills last night and it looks as if there are separate queues for each destination? 4 in total? Hunt's Cross, Kirkby, Ormskirk and Southport? Have I got that right? Seems to be a good way of doing it. It is a bit more complicated to be fair than Aintree, when everyone is heading to the same place before and after. And, yes, only 8 car trains for a couple of hours before and after a match would be sensible. When you say every 7/10 do you mean on every line? That really would be excellent. Thanks again.

I was discussing the holding area at Sandhills with a mate who's a driver on Merseyrail and mentioned people's concerns ...
He said they have the same in use at Aintree for the National meeting etc and he's adamant that it works great. He also said they've been test running 8 carriage trains and we can expect them to be approx every 7 to 10 mins on match days.
But like everything we'll just have to wait and see.
