Live in the bit of Wirral not on Merseyrail. Easier and quicker to do this than drive to a station on this side. Next season during daytime then bus to town may be a better option.

Anyway, surprised to find it was easier than Goodison (cheaper parking too!) but with massive caveat of reduced capacity meaning roads were empty anyway!
