I'm not disagreeing with the overall parking issue at all...it's a total shambles. I was (simplistically) talking about today. Come the new season, without lots of collaboration between council/fan groups/club/business/residents this will be a nightmare for all involved.
It all stems from greed and ambivalence...ambivalence (the club) greed (the council)...I could go into more detail, but I can't be bothered as it's my birthday! Previous Message
the train on the way back might be an issue especially come August when 50000 fans realise the only way to get to home is to get the train Previous Message
I'm in the pub now, I got the train and a few mins walk - what's the issue? Previous Message
mainly to have a look for somewhere to park
In short, there is nowhere to park
Every single road, even roads with no houses on, are in the restricted zone
I'm looking at a 2 mile walk which is fine whilst I'm fit and fairly healthy but that won't always be the case
I just don't understand why all the roads are restricted just because fans will want to park there
I could understand if the council wanted to charge a fiver or tenner on match day but it makes no sense to stop any car from parking
