No doubt the Everton fans will be telling me at the end of the season if we survive that its all down to him yet in our 4 victories so far he's had very little to do Previous Message
Pickford came out to meet him at the right point, but Watkins was able to drift left and delay his shot which gave him room around Pickford.
The issue was more his decision to come out so far but I imagine he thought Tarkowski had no chance of reaching Watkins before he shot. Previous Message
their 2nd goal was very similar to the goals we were conceding at the start of the season
6 or 7 goals from within the 6 yard box - its got to the keepers every time
I thought he gifted Watkins the goal in midweek as well. He came out, went back and made it easy for Watkins, who's side foot finish ended up going in the centre of the goal as Pickford got his angles all wrong Previous Message
But have just watched the goals again and I think Pickford was to blame for both their goals with rash a decision for the first and not coming out strongly for the cross on the second.
Gueye sprinted over to give him an absolute bollocking after the second and they looked a bit pissed off either each other at the final whistle.
