For the first goal, we get played through too easily. I don’t have an issue with Pickford coming out to meet Maddison, but once he tries to block a pass and fails he’s in trouble. O’Brien seemed unaware where the ball was heading and probably could have headed it away if he was 2 yards to the left, but it took an inch perfect finish from Kulusevski to score. Sometimes you have to credit the other team.
For the second goal, we switched off from the corner and allowed a cross to come in far too easily. Pickford didn’t judge the flight of the ball as well as he could have but he stayed central in case it fell to Ben Davies in the middle. The big failure on this goal was Michael Keane just ball watching and hoping the cross goes out for a goal kick instead of just moving 3 yards and clearing it. Previous Message
But have just watched the goals again and I think Pickford was to blame for both their goals with rash a decision for the first and not coming out strongly for the cross on the second.
Gueye sprinted over to give him an absolute bollocking after the second and they looked a bit pissed off either each other at the final whistle.
This shows it well at the ten minute mark

Where I differ from JC is I don’t want to sell Pickford and think we’d be stuffed without him
