women's team have signed 3 I think, possibly reflecting existing confidence in the manager etc.
clearly there was a recruitment issue between Dyche and Thelwell, and although we're desperate for first team contributions I have no problem with Moyes wanting his say and that will slow things down a little. I like Moye's implicit claim that although we need new players to progress, he backs himself as a coach to improve results without needing dramatic changes.
yesterday a good example. under Dyche I think he'd have targeted a point and might well have got one. But under Moyes we're much more likely to get a few extra wins, which make all the difference.
i just happened to be on linkedin and saw TFG posted a video about Everton a couple of weeks ago. It looks professional and demonstrates that there is a serious plan.
I particularly liked the three keywords they used:
- Passion
- History
- Ambition
whether they've commissioned an agency to tell them that, or it's a reflection of their own diagnosis, i think it is a very effective communication. it sums us up, and where we want to go.
amazing what 3 points and a little bit of breathing space can do for optimism and long term thinking!! Previous Message
