as much as i think dcl works hard and causes problems, there's literally nobody taking advantage of that around him. if that doesn't work, then someone else has got to create chances for him - and, perhaps more importantly, he's actually got to finish them. last night, he had more chances that i recall him having in months and didn't take any of them.
dyche or moyes is an irrelevance without players able to get the ball in the back of the net.
if we don't sign some players capable of improving our attack, whether that be wingers/wing-backs who can cross the ball or strikers to score them or playmakers to create chances, nothing changes. we're gambling on garner and mcneil coming back and staying fit, and maybe iroegbunam as he was doing okay earlier in the season or perhaps chermiti. i don't mean to denigrate any of those players, but none of them are in danger of being poached by another team, so relying on them to dig us out of the mire seems foolish.
i'm no more positive than i was with dyche at the helm, to be honest. it was probably the right time for dyche to go - if only for his own sake, having been hamstrung and hung out to dry over the last two years and still somehow keeping us up.
moyes is still facing the same problems, and if we don't make additions we're basically trying not to lose and wondering where the goals come from, and that's not going to be a pleasant experience for a third season in a row.
