It was terrible apart from when the ref didn’t send Onana off for a second yellow and when he didn’t give the penalty. Considering it was Moyes’s first game back it was really flat. Not helped by us giving the ball away repeatedly in the first ten mins. I stand down by the Paddock end of the Lower Gwladys and it was painful watching Young repeatedly stop and pass backwards because there was no attacking player making a run down the right. Villa knew every ‘attack’ would come down our left and overloaded defensively on that side to compensate. The lack of movement in the team was shocking. Grim times, as I don’t think the fans have it in them to roar the team over the line for a third season. Previous Message

Moyes now knows how limited we are.
Slow, no movement, unable to trap a ball, pass a ball and/or keep possession.
It is blatantly obvious we need a right winger and an alternative to DCL. Our central midfield is pedestrian and only pass sideways or backwards.
We don't have time to wait so incomings must happen urgently.
McNeil is a big miss and his return (?) will give some options. We must find a place for Armstrong and give him a run at the expense of Harrison. It will give us all a lift to so see Moyes mixing it up and give the lad a chance to show the others how to find a pass.
I am confident incoming are imminent and will be 'Moyes ready' as opposed to 'Dyche fit' and hopefully this starts a bounce.
Last night was pitiful and the atmosphere not what it should have been whichbis a concern. We need a lift and soon.
