given our current predicament, we have to think short term. Maintaining our premier league status going into next season is our one and only priority. We're going to need to improve the first team and remedy our obvious weaknesses. Have we got any money to do that via the transfer market, in this window?

I have no knowledge of Lyons financial situation. I’m thinking purely short term. And I keep thinking about Dyche saying he’s taken this team as far as he can. Would he have said that if he was able to make signings during this window? We can’t score goals. We can’t even create that much, even from set pieces. Especially with McNeil out. If continue to be so impotent up top, we won’t have that TV money next season.

And him access to TV money to try and find the £100m he needs to stop Lyon being automatically relegated.... Previous Message
Nothing against TFG, but Textor would've given us access to players from Lyon and the Brazilian champions. Previous Message
Someone quite rightly pointed out that our central midfield was slow yesterday. Indeed, but I'm hoping Garner and Iroegbunam get fit soon, they should help alleviate this. Of course Tim and Armstrong could have the issue that Moyes used to have: they are too young. Moyes wasn't exactly enthusiastic to use youngsters the last time unless forced. Tim also needs to learn positioning so might be better playing a bit further up.
But even getting Garner back would help a lot in that regard.
Of course if we get a right winger & McNeil returns from injury eventually Moyes will have an interesting dilemma. Would Ndiaye still play LM and McNeil CAM? Or the other way around?
