I was quite distracted (got a new phone and was setting it up) so I might have a distorted view but a few things I noticed:
We played closer to DCL and seemed to have a few ideas how to attack already. We created more chances than probably in the last five Dyche games in total. Which wasn't particularly much. Villa was better which is no big surprise but I felt their best chances came from silly mistakes. What was that backpass from Young? Branthwaite played poorly in their goal (and couple of other times). Gueye and Doucoure made some shocking passes.
And big difference in the end was how we actually chased the game. Too often this season when losing we haven't mustered a single meaningful chance. Now we were actually close to equalising.
Let's see how things change in a few weeks. Moyes has had two sessions so far so expecting more improvements would have been unfair.
